I found this book very easy to comprehend. It was full of a lot of great ideas and all in a format to really make you think about them. It was written for the contractor in mind and gets to the point. There's no fluff. A quick read with great ideas that make sense. What more could a contractor want? I highly recommend it. I've also been to one of the authors seminars. If you can see one of these, definitely do.

Referals, a way to build your business. For the first few years that was the way I built my business. You do a good job, make the client happy, and they will of course stand on the roof top shouting on your behalf. Happy clients will send you enough business that you do not need to advertise to grow your business. Sorry, it just does not happen that way. No matter how good you are if you want to grow and not just sustain your business you need to do more. Jeffery Scott has taken his years of success in business and shared how he has grown his company through referals. Client referals, trade referals, business group referals, etc. The information he shares shortens the learning curve, tells you how and when to ask for a referal, and more improtantly when not to. This book is a must read for anyone that wants to generate more sales from their existing clients and should be incorporated into a maketing plan. Buy the book, read the book, implement the information, work at it, and enjoy the success.

This book was easy to use, composed in chunks, and easy to apply as a training module. Most organizations miss the most obvious opportunities to get new work - referrals. Jeff Scott's book will help raise revenues for lots of companies.

I enjoyed this book alot. I started to work with Jeffey about a year ago and he handed me a caopy of this book. It is perfect for me because I don't have alot of time to read so 15 or 20 minutes a day is great for me. It has reminded me of some of the things I already done but gotten away from but at the same time given me insight into new ways to do things. It is very basic but sometimes we forget to just ask for things.
It taught me to:
How to ask for the referral
How to ask third party members for referrals
How to network
What works for incentives
How to track my referrals
How to get referrals without asking
We also worked on a customer survey where Jeffrey actually spoke to my customers. I received valuable information from this survey.
I have received more information than I can actually implement! Thank you Jeffrey!

Jeffrey is clearly about results for his readers and this book delivers that BIG TIME. The ideas are clear, quickly digestible, and easy to implement. The thought process is effective because it is geared to the busy landscape professional who wants to make a difference in his/her business quickly and consistently. I highly recommend this book. Even the free six chapters (I downloaded from his website) give you much to chew on
